Last month’s Counting On season premiere was notable for the absence of two of the show’s most popular former cast members.
Derick Dillard was fired by TLC following a recent social media tirade, and his wife Jill has reportedly stepped away from the spotlight.
Whether she has done so in a show of solidarity with her husband, or quietly told to go kick rocks as well by producers, is unclear.
But just because Jill and Derick are no longer on doesn’t mean fans have stopped scrutinizing every aspect of their personal lives!
And not just when he ridicules Jazz Jennings. Or Parkland shooting victims. (Yes, he actually did that. Derick is something else.)
The latest rumor about life in the increasingly cramped Dillard household is that the 26-year-old Jill is pregnant with her third child.
There’s been no official confirmation, but …
Many believe Jill has been dropping hints on social media in recent weeks, including the image depicted above.
First, there was a seemingly unremarkable Instagram photo in which eagle-eyed fans discovered a hidden clue.
Note the bottle of prenatal vitamins behind Derick’s head. You can’t put anything past Duggar Nation, can you?
Shortly thereafter, Jill posted a photo that fans believe contained yet another subtle hint that she’s expecting.
The pic showed her holding her youngest son:
She captioned the post of herself and Samuel:
"Love my #babies #samuelscottdillard"
It’s the use of the plural "babies" that has fans talking. While Jill does have two kids, only one of them was pictured in the photo.
Which is why some of her many Instagram followers think Jill’s hashtag was her way of suggesting she’s got a baby in her arms …
… AND a bun in the oven.
It’s a stretch, to be sure, but the comments section immediately blew up with speculation about a third Dillard baby on the way.
"I think she’s pregnant too. #babies and also looks like a baby bump too," wrote one fan who seems to think she also looks the part.
It’s not hard to see why Duggar obsessives are convinced will be hearing a big announcement from Jill in the very near future.
That’s kind of what her family does for a living.
Back in 2014, Jill – famously one of 19 kids – told People magazine that she has every intention of raising a very large family.
"Both of us want as many kids as God will give us and we’ve talked about adoption," she told the celebrity news outlet.
"My parents have kept popping them out so we’ll see how [our] fertility is!" Jill added, and she quickly got to work with two in two years.
While 19 kids is certainly a tall order, and one they’re unlikely to match, it seems Jill and Derick are up to the challenge mentally.
This means you’ll likely hear some big news from the young family very soon … and not just about him asking Jazz out for coffee.
Yup, he really did that. SMH.
