Counting On stars Joseph Duggar and Kendra Caldwell are just about to tie the knot, but not before they tie one on! (So to speak.)
The couple celebrated their impending nuptials by throwing a boat party! Together! Where was the shindig, and who attended?
On Friday, the soon-to-be-married couple, along with 25 of their friends and family, took a fleet of decorated vehicles to Beaver Lake.
The one in Arkansas. Obviously, people.
"We decided to do a joint bachelor-bachelorette party because we love spending time together,” the pair told its unofficial PR firm, People.
“We figured this would be a really good activity for both of our families to connect,” they added of the joint bachelor-bachelorette party.
What did their fun on the water entail?
“We ended up doing the waterskiing and tubing for our joint bachelor-bachelorette party because Kendra loves the water," Joe said.
"I just enjoy doing whatever she’s doing."
Aww, shucks. What a sweet guy, right?
According to the magazine, the group had a blast, water skiing and tubing on a pontoon, ski boat and high-performance speed boat.
Presumably, Jessa Duggar's swimsuit made an appearance, which alone would be worth a story ... follow the link for a visual there.
These being the Duggars, no one got too wet and wild or liquored up, but the future bride and groom did serve guests a picnic lunch.
An awesome time was had by all, too.
The pair, who met through their church, began courting in March and Joseph proposed to Kendra at sister Joy-Anna’s wedding in May.
“We are super excited,” the happy couple said at the time of the engagement. “It’s great to not be courting anymore, now we’re engaged!”
In typical Duggar fashion, they've been keeping fans dialed in to pretty much every facet of their relationship from the beginning.
In fact, there's even been chatter about the couple perhaps being too open about their upcoming nuptials for some fans' liking.
Specifically, the decision to publicly share Joseph and Kendra's wedding registry online was seen as perhaps a bit of a cash grab.
Your (huge) family and friends are going to have the info ... why make it public if it's not-so-subtle way of soliciting gifts from fans?
Also, some fans are now expressing their belief that the Duggar women are held to an unfair double standard regarding touching.
See photo above.
As you know if you watch Counting On online, or follow the family at, virtually no contact is permitted before vows are exchanged.
Physical contact, that is. Even full-on frontal hardcore hugs are not allowed, lest they lead to temptations and "hanky panky."
(Jim Bob's words.)
How does this pertain to Joe and Kendra? Well, as you can see from their engagement pictures, there's lots of touching going on.
If any of his sisters were spotted getting as "handsy" as Joseph is in the pic above, they would be read the riot act ... critics say.
