When we last checked in on Sean Penn, he was accidentally taking down Mexican drug cartels and boasting about his badass exploits in the pages of Rolling Stone.
Since his El Chapo escapades nearly saw him getting fitted for a pair of concrete slippers, it's not surprising that Penn's been laying off the international intrigue in recent months.
But it seems that Penn can't resist the allure of rolling the dice with his own life, and he's once again dabbling in activities that could wind up turning him into critically adored fish food.
But at least this time we can understand what would possess him to take such a gamble.
The photo below shows 24-year-old actress named Leila George:
She's the daughter of actor Vincent D'Onofrio, whom you might know from The Magnificent Seven, Full Metal Jacket, and approximately 43,000 episodes of Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
By now, you've probably figured out where this is going...
Yes, Penn is sleeping with the very young daughter of a very large man who's most famous for playing psychopaths and badasses.
There's a very good chance this won't end well for Mr. Penn.
Were not saying that Penn is a bad guy (though by the majority of accounts, he very much is), but we are saying that Leila was in high school at the time of Sean's last divorce.
She's roughly the same age as his daughter, Dylan Penn.
And saying the actor doesn't have the greatest track record when it comes to relationships is like saying Gary Busey is mildly unhinged.
Whatever happened between Penn and Charlize Theron was so bad that she abruptly cut off all contact and refused to ever discuss the matter in interviews.
Shortly thereafter, Penn dated Minka Kelly for about a week.
We won't even get into the (allegedly) abusive nightmare that was Penn's marriage to Madonna.
Needless to say, Sean's not the kind of guy you want picking up your daughter on a Saturday night, especially when she's 32 years his junior.
That's not to say this relationship can't work because of the massive age difference.
No, this relationship can't work because Penn is the worst kind of unstable d-bag.
Hopefully, D'Onofrio can sort him out with a phone call, and not have to dangle him from a balcony or anything.
