While this month would have would have marked their fourth wedding anniversary, Kailyn Lowry isn't wasting any tears over what might have been.
Lowry and estranged husband Javi Marroquin announced their engagement on September 15th, 2012, and quietly married that same month.
So quietly, in fact, that the press didn't learn about it until two months later. Oh, how times have changed for this turbulent twosome ...
Fast-forward to September 2016, and things are much different.
Friends of the Teen Mom 2 star say that Lowry is ready to date again, but she has some requirements when it comes to fitting into her hectic life.
“If she were to consider dating someone, they definitely couldn’t be controlling,” a source told Radar Online.
“They would need to fit in with her and the boys for them to stick around.”
Lowry had a problem with Marroquin's control issues, which contributed to the demise of their marriage.
Whoever this next guy is, a source pointed out, "they’ve gotta let her run free pretty much."
Lowry shared a dating update with fans via Twitter recently....but it wasn't anything positive:
A guy at school today asked to take me out. He has a whole gf.

Two months after their divorce was announced, Marroquin shared a strange note on Snapchat that he told fans got him through his deployment with the Air Force.
Though allegedly not written by Kailyn, the letter seems to echo the dynamics of their relationship.
“Your abuse manifested in a lot of ways," the note read.
“I was so insecure and angry because you made me that way. You broke the person who loved you the most in this world… All those times you lied to me.
"Went behind my back. Contacted girls for validation when you knew how much it hurt me. All those times you cursed at me.
"All those times you didn’t care.”
Lowry and Marroquin are experts at cryptic posts on social media, so this was not surprising to read.
"Hurts more to hold on than it does to let go," Lowry, who recently went on a girls-only holiday in Hawaii, tweeted.
As for whether or not either party has officially moved on, that's anyone's guess at this point.
