Chris Brown has something in common with Brad Pitt.
There's a sentence we never thought we'd write.
But with the Internet abuzz over allegations that Pitt has abused his children in some way, we can now confirm that Brown is also under investigation by Child Protective Services.
According to TMZ sources, Brown’s baby mama, Nia Guzman, filed a complaint with authorities after Brown’s standoff with police last month.
As a quick refresher:
On August 30, Brown was hanging out at his home with a bunch of people.
One of those people was a woman named Baylee Curran.
She alleges that Brown pulled out a gun and stuck it in her face after she tried to take a closer look at a piece of jewelry in his house.
After Curran left the premises, she called 911... the police arrived... but Brown refused to let them in.
Instead, he recorded multiple videos on social media that slammed the police, while also hurling a bag out his window at one point that contained weapons and drugs.
This led to a nine-hour standoff before the cops obtained a search warrant and placed Brown under arrest for assault with a deadly weapon.
He has since proclaimed his innocence on many occasions and you can make your voice known below when it comes to shis He Said/She Said debate:

Initial reports claimed that Brown's two-year old daughter, Royalty, was inside her dad's house at the time of this incident.
But that is not true. She wasn't there.
Still, Guzman is concerned about the child's overall safety with someone such as Brown and therefore contacted DCFS shortly after Brown's arrest.
(NOTE: Insiders say Guzman actually thinks Brown is a good father; she just thinks he hangs out with a bad crowd.)
Since the artist’s arrest, all of his visits with Royalty have been supervised by his mother. This will continue to be the case until Brown’s legal issues are sorted out.
According to TMZ, Guzman is not fighting to change her custody arrangement with Brown just yet.
But she does think supervised visits are best for awhile.
As you might expect, Brown has some thoughts on this topic.
"I take care of my daughter fully," Brown said in an Instagram video on Thursday that has since been deleted.
"Somebody make an accusation, 90 percent of y'all believe it, and it's bullsh-t. The last three weeks or whatever been going on with the accusations, you know it's false.
"I don't get the benefit of the doubt as everybody else.
"I take great pride in being a father. I love my daughter. All these allegations and bullsh-t, stop lying bro."
It probably is true that Brown does not get the benefit of the doubt like some others do in certain situation.
But it's DEFINITELY true that Brown beat Rihanna's face in a few years ago and has shown clear problems with anger ever since.
So that would be the reason why. Forgive us if we aren't crying a river for Chris Brown.
Do you ever feel sympathy for the singer?
Or do you think he probably is guilty in this gun case and/or just sucks in general anyway so he deserves whatever comes his way?
