Revealing the sex of your baby to family members is kind of a big deal.
The how and when regarding the reveal is up to the parents-to-be, who usually make that decision together.
That was Blac Chyna's plan for her and Rob Kardashian after they found out they were having a girl.
"I'm so confused. Rob and I agreed that we were going to wait and do a cool surprise with the gender reveal, but Rob told his mom," Chyna said on last night's premiere episode of Rob & Chyna.
It turns out that Kardashian went and told his mom, Kris Jenner as soon as he saw her.
"I guess that is just the Kardashian family," she griped. "Talk, talk, talk, talk."
Jenner, thrilled to become a grandmother for the sixth time, brought over a big ole' pink gift for her future daughter-in-law, who was less than thrilled that her fiance couldn't keep his mouth shut.
"I mean that's my mom, it just came out," Kardashian claimed.
Jenner, meanwhile, got some camera time on her own (as you do).
"Everybody had their feathers ruffled a little over this engagement," Jenner said.
"Rob was completely shutting us out, but Angela AKA Blac Chyna makes Rob so happy and to see how in love they are and how far Rob has come is amazing.
Kardashian had been vocal from the beginning about wanting a boy, so that he could develop the same relationship with his son that he had with his late father, who passed away from cancer in 2003.
"It's an emotional moment," Kardashian told the cameras.
"Me wanting to have a boy, it definitely stems from my dad but I'm sure I'll have the same relationship that I had with my father with my daughter.
"I'm just happy that the baby's healthy."
What will the baby's name be?
"You guys have to stay tuned for that too," Chyna said coyly. "I'm not trying to give up no more details about the baby!"
The couple are due to welcome Lady Kardashian in early November, and sources tell Entertainment Tonight that they're "in a really good place."
Once the baby is born and things get settled, Chyna and Kardashian will likely forge ahead with wedding plans.
"They will get married, but they don't have any plans set yet," the source added.
Kardashian has said in the past that he'll get married whenever Chyna is ready, explaining that no bride should feel forced to walk down the aisle unless they're feelin' it.
"Every woman deserves to have a beautiful wedding not when they're pregnant," Kardashian said during a Facebook Q&A.
Rob & Chyna airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on E!
