Britney Spears fans really love her new single, "Make Me."
Spears recently released the single in support of her upcoming ninth studio album.
Based on the song alone, it sure sounds like Spears is going back to basics with her sound.
That's probably why fans are going crazy for the song and its accompanying music video.
There's no denying that the video has all of the things you would expect from a Spears spectacular, but some fans are not impressed that there are actually two different music videos.
Sadly, the original one may never be released.
Some of the footage has appeared online and it looks drastically different from the version that was released.
The original video was directed by David LaChapelle, but there's word that Britney and her team were disappointed with the results.
Being her first music video in quite some time, Britney and her team will have wanted the official video to be perfect.
The success of the album could hinge on how well-received the video is.
After getting to see the original cut, Britney and her team approached Randee St. Nicholas to take another attempt at the video.
According to TMZ, sources close to LaChapelle say that his video wasn't used because it was "too sexy."
Britney may not want anyone to see that original video, but her fans are going crazy for it.
There's even a petition to have it released.
What do you think about all of this?
Should Britney give in and release the video?
