I suppose that with three divorces under your belt, you know what to avoid with number four.
David Foster knows all the right questions to ask and requests to make amidst his split from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills‘ Yolanda Foster, from whom he officially separated on December 1st, 2015.
Yolanda officially filed for divorce in January, after four years of marriage to the Grammy-winning music producer.
People Magazine obtained legal documents in which David requested that the court not be able to "award spousal support" to Yolanda, who has reverted back to her first ex-husband’s last name, Hadid.
David has also asked that Yolanda not be on the hook for spousal support.
The problem is, Yolanda stated in her filing that she was "seeking spousal support and legal fees" from David.
The couple announced their split roughly an hour before the season premiere of Beverly Hills.
During her April 12th appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Yolanda recalls the moment her marriage ended.
"I know exactly the day — November 15," Yolanda told Andy Cohen.
"That was a conversation I had [with David]."
Cohen asked if the Dutch model felt blind-sided by the finality of their relationship, which spanned 9 years.
"Yeah, I didn’t think that was the end of the road. I would have hoped to wait until I got 100 percent well."
Throughout their very public divorce, Yolanda has been quick to defend David, whom she insist had stuck by her through her battle with Lyme disease.
"You can’t imagine how much it takes for a man to take care of somebody that’s sick all the time," Yolanda said.
"David didn’t change, I’m the one who changed.
"And this is the outcome of that."
And yes, Yolanda did sign a pre-nup before their 2011 wedding.
The straightforward beauty told Cohen that she has no regrets about it.
"Not at all. I married for love not for money," she said.
