Last week, Donald Trump shocked the world by stating that he supports the rights of trans individuals to use the bathroom that corresponds with their gender, not the gender they were born with.
Specifically, he told Matt Lauer that Caitlyn Jenner is free to pee in Trump Tower anytime she wants - an offer that Cait took full advantage of earlier this week:
In the clip above, Caitlyn is narrating her own stroll around Manhattan when nature calls.
Lo and behold, she happens to find herself in front of Trump's most famous property just as she's about to burst.
The whole thing is about as natural and authentic as any of her family's reality shows, but it doesn't matter.
Caitlyn wants us to know that this was staged, and the whole thing is a symbolic show of support for Trump.
It's not exactly a Rosa Parks moment, but Caitlyn did take a seat for a cause.
"A trans woman in New York, I gotta take a pee. Anyways…Oh my God, Trump International Tower, I love this," Cait says in her Facebook video.
"OK, last week Donald Trump said I could take a pee anywhere in a Trump facility. I am gonna go take a pee in the ladies' room."
After doing her business, Caitlyn exits the building and addresses the camera once more:
"Thank you, Donald, really appreciate it," Cait says. "And by the way, Ted, nobody got molested."
The not-so-subtle jab at Cruz is somewhat unexpected, as in the past, Caitlyn has been an outspoken supporter of the Texas senator.
So what changed?
Well, even when she fully trusted Ted, Cait admitted that he wasn't great on trans issues.
She encouraged him to reach out to her for a frank discussion on trans rights, and to the surprise of no one but Cait, he never did.
So now it looks like Caitlyn may have officially thrown her support behind Trump.
Not like he needs it, at this point.
