Marque "Tate" Lynch - a former cast member on All New Mickey Mouse Club and a contestant on American Idol Season 3 - was found dead on Sunday, according to various reports.
He was 34 years old.
The Wrap reports that Lynche's roommate found the ex-actor inside their New York City apartment; he was pronounced dead around 4 p.m.
No cause of death has been determined as of this writing, while an investigation by police is underway.
The New York Daily News, meanwhile, has labeled Lynch's death as "suspicious," though no further details have been provided.
“There was no note, no pills,” a police source tells the newspaper. “We’re waiting on the medical examiner."
Lynch enjoyed a two-year stint as a Mousketeer from 1993 to 1995. He appeared on the program opposite Britney Spears, Ryan Gosling, Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera.
About a decade later, he tried out in front of Simon Cowell and company on American Idol.
He later left the music industry after his mother died, although he reportedly planned to release an album and refocus on his passion for it after he recovered from that personal loss.
We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of Tate Lynch.
