May Nipsey Hussle rest in peace. The Grammy-nominated actor has been killed at the age of 33.
Kurt Cobain
The lead singer of Nirvana shot himself in the head at the age of 27, leaving a note that read: “Thank you all from the pit of my burning, nauseous stomach for your letters and concern during the past years. I’m too much of an erratic, moody baby! I don’t have the passion anymore, and so remember, it’s better to burn out than to fade away.”
Mac Miller
Miller was only 26 years old when he died of a drug overdose in September of 2018. Just so very sad.
Janis Joplin
Janis Joplin also died at the age of 27. Officials determined that she overdosed on heroin.
Jimi Hendrix
Yup, Jimi Hendrix was also 27 whe he died due to asphyxiation in his own vomit after he took sleeping pills.
Scott Weiland
Scott Weiland was found dead in his tour bus in December of 2015. He passed away from cardiac arrest.
Andy Gibb
Andy Gibb struggled with substance abuse and died of a heart ailment in 1988, just prior to his 30th birthday.
Jim Morrison
Jim Morrison was found dead in his Paris apartment at the age of 27. No official cause was ever revealed, though most believe he died of a heroin overdose.
Tupac Shakur
Tupac Shakur was shot 13 times in 1996. He died at the age of 25, though some folks believe he’s still alive.
Notorious B.I.G.
Biggie was murdered in a drive-by shooting at the age of 24. The killer was never brought to justice.
Bob Marley
Bob Marley, a reggae icon, passed way in 1981 at age 36 after a long battle against melanoma.
John Lennon
John Lennon was killed at the age of 40. He was shot in the street following a recording session in New York City.
Michael Hutchence
The INXS frontman was found dead in a Sydney hotel at age 37. He had a belt around his neck and most people have suspsected suicide, but the singer’s brother later argued that Michael died from autoerotic asphyxiation.
Elvis Presley
Elvis was found dead on his bathroom floor at the age of 42. The official report listed cardiac arrest, but few believes drugs were not a factor.
Marvin Gaye
The soulful singer was shot by his father during an argument, just a day before turning 45 years old.
Freddie Mercury
The lead singer of Queen became one of the first celebrities to be diagnosed with AIDS. He died from complications related to it at age 45.
Michael Jackson
Michael Jackson was 50 years old when he died from cardiac arrest. His passing was related to the amount of pain medication the singer was taking.
Aaliyah
Rest in peace, Aaliyah. The singer was only 22 when she died in a plane crash.
Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes
Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, a member of the popular group TLC, died in a car crash. The tragic accident took place in Honduras in 2002.
Whitney Houston
The legendary singer was found dead in the bathtub of a hotel the night before the Grammy Awards in February of 2012.
Amy Winehouse
Amy Winehouse died of a drug overdose in the summer of 2013. She was only 27 at the time.
Selena
The queen of Tejano music was only 23 years old when she was shot by a former employee, Yolanda Saldívar, while the artist was working out a financial dispute with her.
Eazy-E
Eazy-E died un July of 1971 from AIDS-related complications. He had been diagnosed with the illness just a month earlier.
DJ AM
One of the first truly popular DJs, he was found dead in his apartment of a drug overdose in 2009.
Adam Yauch
Adam Yauch, a member of The Beastie Boys, lost a three-year battle with cancer in 2012.
Sid Vicious
Sid Vicious overdosed on heroin at the age of 21. He was the lead singer of rock group The Sex Pistols.
Prince
Rest in peace, Prince. The iconic singer was found dead at his home at the young age of 57.
Nick Menza
Rest in peace, Nick Menza. The former Megadeath drummer died of an alleged heart attack at age 51.
Christina Grimmie
Christina Grimmie was a singer in the prime of her life when she was tragically shot and killed at the age of 22.
George Michael
George Michael passed away from heart failure. At the age of 53, he had many more years of making lots of great music ahead of him.
Chris Cornell
Cornell reportedly killed himself in a Detroit hotel bathroom, just hours after performing on stage with Soundgarden. He was 52 years old. May he rest in peace.
