Caitlyn Jenner has not been invited to go Dancing with the Stars.
Contrary to previous media reports, the transgender former Olympian will not be doing the Tango or Waltz on the next season of this ABC reality competition.
A very reliable source has confirmed as much.
“I think Caitlyn would be great on the show,” Dancing with the Stars casting director and co-executive producer Deena Katz says.
“I think right now she needs to figure out her life. Trust me, we will be fighting for her at some point. But for now, let Caitlyn become Caitlyn.”
In past seasons, Kim Kardashian, Rob Kardashian and Kris Jenner have all appeared on the long-running series.
Adds Katz, perhaps exaggerating the impact of her show:
“Coming on Dancing with the Stars is a big huge burst. It kind of turns your life upside down. Let’s let her get her normal life before we disrupt it all over again, but she’d be great."
In related news, we can confirm that Bindi Irwin will go Dancing with the Stars on Season 21.
The rest of the cast will be announced in early September.
