By now it's all but official that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are headed for divorce.
The couple hasn't spoken publicly on the matter (which is a big red flag on its own), but all the signs seem to indicate that Ben and Jen are headed for Splitsville.
Sources say Affleck is living in hotels and pressuring Garner to finalize the divorce so that he can move on with his life.
For her part, Jen has reportedly been looking at homes in Montreal with an eye toward moving her kids there in time for the start of school in fall.
Needless to say, they don't exactly sound like a couple that's struggling to make things work.
The more we hear, the more it seems that Ben and Jen have given up. In fact, according to a new report from Radar Online, Jen is looking forward to reviving her career.
In fact, she's reportedly contacted her former Alias boss and current Star Trek/Star Wars geek-god JJ Abrams about future collaborations.
“JJ will find a part for her, but Jen’s made him promise to not relegate her to ‘girlfriend’ of’ type roles…She was offered Alice Eve‘s part in Star Trek but turned it down for that reason,” the source reveals to Radar.
“Jen wants to be the star, not the star’s girlfriend.”
Hey, Ben went from playing second fiddle to Jennifer Lopez to directing a Best Picture winner, so we guess anything is possible.
The source adds that Jen is hoping to use the martial arts skills she learned for Alias in her upcoming roles. Fortunately, she hasn't gotten rusty, as she's had plenty of practice kicking Ben's ass over the years.
