It sure was contestant Andrea's lucky day on The Price is Right yesterday. Not so much model Manuela, whose epic fail gifted Andrea a new Hyundai Sonata.
Following host Drew Carey's instructions on the still-iconic game show, Andrea had three chances to guess the price of the sedan from a list of answers.
When she made her first guess, model Manuela lifted up the price tag to reveal she was incorrect ... then inexplicably lifted up a second price tag.
Yes, instead of stopping and waiting for the contestant's next guess, Manuela just opened up another tag, which of course happened to be the winner.
"Oooooh! Congratulations! Manuela just gave you a car!" Carey said as Manuela gasped, mortified over what she'd just done for no reason at all.
As Carey laughed and tried to reassure her it was okay - much better than okay for new car owner Andrea - she even tried to hide behind the price tag display.
We don't imagine this will go over well at Manuela's next performance review, but:
- Andrea had two more tries and might have gotten it anyway;
- At least it wasn't an Escalade.
