It looks like Justin Bieber’s decision to crash a prom in California over the weekend isn’t the only thing that’s got authorities eager to see the Biebs behind bars.

A warrant for Bieber’s arrest was issued in Argentina earlier this month, stemming from a 2013 incident in which Justin was accused of ordering his bodyguards to beat up a photographer.

Bieber was summoned to Argentina; he refused to go (for obvious reasons), and it looked like all he would have to do to avoid further trouble was stay out of the country.

Now, however, it seems the Argentine government has gotten international authorities involved, and they’re pushing to have the Biebs apprehended.

TMZ is reporting that earlier today, Interpol agents swarmed Bieber’s hotel in Rome with the intention of taking him into custody.  No arrests were made, but Justin’s not out of the woods yet.

Bieber is shooting Zoolander 2 in Italy, and the country’s extradition treaty with Argentina is pretty ironclad.

Justin’s legal team reportedly believes he’s safe for now, but will likely have to answer for the Argentine warrant in the near future.

Scary stuff, as the charges in Buenos Aires could land him behind bars for up to a year. Wasn’t the Comedy Central Roast punishment enough!
