The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 7 Episode 18 Recap: Who Got Divorced? Who Ended Their Beef?

The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 7 Episode 18 saw Phaedra Parks move to divorce Apollo Nida after her estranged husband checked into prison a few weeks back.

How did that go down exactly? Find out in this week's recap ...

Picking up where we left off last Sunday, The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 7 Episode 18 saw Phaedra come to the realization that she is done.

Even before Apollo Nida failed to report to prison and nearly assaulted Phaedra in their final blowout fight, he had been acting more and more erratically.

Apollo, she says, terrorized their home by “always getting into fights" and never allowed her to "get a peaceful night's sleep," no matter the situation.

But now that he's in prison, she says, she finally is at peace.

“I don’t live in fear of ‘what has Apollo done, what will he do next?’” Parks adds. “I can go to sleep knowing that he’s not going to hurt himself or anybody around him.”

Phaedra sought advice from her friend Sarah Jakes, the daughter of Bishop T.D. Jakes, about her marital problems and what she should do next.

A few days later, her attorney Ronnie Kaplan advised her that while her prenup “airtight,” the couple's two young sons complicate this matter immensely.

While she wants to make sure that her boys stay close to Apollo, she’s not thrilled about traveling to a federal prison in Kentucky to achieve this goal.

We can't imagine why she would feel that way about this issue.

As for why she married a felon - fans who watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta online know this wasn't a fluke for Nida - instead of ... someone else?!

“I thought he was a changed man,” Phaedra laments to Ronnie.

“I married him because I knew that he loved me. Some people do change their lives and make a difference ... maybe he was conning me the whole time.”

Ronnie tells Phaedra that "we'll get through it," but it will be hard.

"It's a sad time. A divorce is a death. A death of a relationship."

Meanwhile, back at the counseling session (a.k.a. Attack NeNe Leakes Day) tensions was still simmering, even boiling between the women of the ATL.

We learned that after Porsha Williams beat down Kenya Moore, those two agreed to squash their beef and move on. But would their detente last?

Porsha is still bitter over accusations that she slept with a married man, while Claudia feels Porsha took sides when NeNe came after her in Puerto Rico.

"It is OK for you to sit and laugh at another woman calling me a whore," Claudia says. "But when I bring up what you're actually, really doing - allegedly - it hurts you."

Actually, really, allegedly doing.

Claudia does apologize for bringing these rumors up the way she did, and Kenya takes her share of the blame for their fight as well. Porsha accepts.

As for NeNe, the girls basically bend over backwards to kiss the booty so that Leakes will like them, or at least forget she had this terrible counseling idea.

Kind of pathetic to bow down before the queen like that, but probably for the best. If there's one person you don't need holding a grudge against you ...
