The Bachelorette stars Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray were seemingly happy and talking about their future together just days before they broke up.

Fans who saw them on the red carpet before The Bachelor season premiere were blindsided just days later, and it looks like the split really was sudden.

In an interview with L.A. Travel, published this week but conducted before they ended their engagement, they were musing about having kids together.

Asked where Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray saw themselves in five years, The Bachelorette star seemed to have it pretty well planned out, gushing:

“Parents of two working on #3 [and] I hope we still live in Atlanta … but I want to feel like I can do it all. I want to feel like I can have a career in fashion [too].”

Josh, on the other hand, and perhaps tellingly, said nothing about a family, but only his career (it’s possible he felt Andi covered the family angle).

“I’m big into health and fitness,” he said. “I love trying to change people’s lives for the better [but] I see myself still doing financial advising as well.”

The now exes, who were wise to break up, according to his mom, said – before they broke up – that adjusting to live after reality TV had been a great thing.

“We also saw a realness in each other while we were on these dates, and yes it was amazing to be in these castles and in these romantic places," she said.

"But it was more amazing to see our relationship happening and see the conversation that was coming about it,” the 28-year-old attorney continued.

“We got to do these incredible things that most people would be lucky to ever do, but you kind of take it as an isolative. We did that, it was amazing."

"But now it’s back to reality, and we love the reality part too.”

Apparently not as much as they thought.
