The Millionaire Matchmaker Season 8 Episode 1, the 2014-15 premiere of Patti Stanger’s long-running “dating” program, featured a famous, familiar face:

Larry Birkhead! Yes, THE Larry Birkhead. Remember that guy?

Oh yes. In what is being billed as a star-studded season, which may or may not feature actual millionaires or second dates, Larry kicked things off in style.

The Millionaire Matchmaker Season 8 Episode 1 brought on Anna Nicole Smith’s baby daddy to meet with Patti Stanger about finding a new mate.

The old mate still looms large over Larry, it turns out. Not only is daughter Dannielynn a living, breathing reminder of Smith, but he has a shrine to her.

As in his Kentucky home contains memorabilia and pictures of the late model everywhere, preserving her memory for a daughter who will never know her.

One can see why he’d do this, with the purest of intentions. If you watch The Millionaire Matchmaker online, though, you know what Patti will tell you:

Ditch the ghost. Move on to a living, breathing woman.

Larry’s also not doing himself any favors by being so shy. He seeks a “sweet Jennifer Love Hewitt type” but says he could never approach her.

From a guy who was with Anna Nicole, it’s a bit of a surprise, but things are different now for Birkhead, who Stanger does not host her usual mixer for.

Instead, she hand-picks a woman for our man.

How did that go? Actually relatively smoothly for Mr. Shy Guy, who is pulling mad game and even moves in for a “Lady and the Tramp” kiss on date one.

Yes, that actually happened.

So are Larry Birkhead and Michelle still together? Patti claimed they had already set up a second date because he had such a “great time” with her.

The show epilogue said Larry and Michelle planned to meet again and were still talking at the time the episode wrapped, a few months ago now.

So who knows. Given the Millionaire Matchmaker’s track record, which is even worse than The Bachelor, we’re going to go ahead and guess that they’re done.

But by all means, prove us wrong, Larry, when you Google yourself, come across this article on THG and leave some anonymous intel in the comments below!
