When news broke that Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin had broken up, Gwyneth Paltrow was reportedly overjoyed.
And with good reason. Prior to the Coldplay singer hooking up with America’s Sweetheart, it seemed like Paltrow was in full control of the “conscious uncoupling” process and still carried Martin in her back pocket, despite kicking him to the curb.
Then Lawrence and Martin got back together. Not surprisingly, Gwinnie was less than pleased with this development.
But instead of beheading one of her servants with the handcrafted fair trade guillotine she bought on her latest trip to Fiji, Paltrow decided to act out the old-fashioned way by blowing up her ex with drunk texts.
Sources tell In Touch that Gwyneth was on her way to a photo shoot when she received word that Martin and Lawrence had reconciled:
She was reportedly so upset by the news that she made her driver pull over so that she could chain smoke and “get a drink to calm her nerves.”
“She never smokes or drinks like that,” says one insider. “So everyone knew something was up. She was a mess all day.”
Once she had a good buzz on – the source says – Gwinnie “began frantically texting Chris.”
Hopefully, Gwyneth hasn’t heard the rumor that Taylor Swift is crushing on Martin now.
If he starts simultaneously dating the two hottest talents in Hollywood, Paltrow might actually turn to meth.
