Alfonso Ribeiro – the current fan favorite and front-runner on Dancing With the Stars – may be forced to drop out of the competition due to a serious injury.
Though Ribeiro seemed to be in top form on Dancing With the Stars Season 19 Episode 11, an injury that’s been plaguing the actor for weeks was reportedly aggravated during rehearsals on Wednesday.
Sources say Alfonso is barely able to walk at the moment, and he fears he may be sidelined for the rest of the season.
According to production insiders, the problem started when Ribeiro showed off some of the signature moves that helped make him famous on Dancing With the Stars Season 19 Episode 6.

While the revival of the Carlton dance unleashed a wave of nostalgia for Fresh Prince of Bel Air fans and quickly made Ribeiro a favorite amongst fans and judges alike, it also took a serious toll on Alfonso’s body.
Ribeiro has stated that he injured his groin while dancing his way to a perfect score last month. However, he was able to continue dancing, and he didn’t appear to be too seriously banged-up.
But while rehearsing earlier this week, Ribeiro was reportedly over-compensating for his injury and badly hurt his back in the process.
He skipped practice yesterday for an MRI and doctors reportedly told him the next 48 hours will be crucial to his recovery.
While medical experts haven’t stated definitively yhat Ribeiro will be forced to hang up his dancing shoes, at the moment it doesn’t look good for the beloved Carlton Banks.
