Sir Mix-A-Lot is back, baby! And he’s still singing "Baby Got Back" (of course).
Mix-a-Lot’s iconic novelty smash came out back in 1992, and love it or hate it, you could probably recite the lyrics in your sleep.
But for a lucky crowd in Seattle last night, the king of the 90s one hit wonders put a very unexpected spin on his ode to sizable posteriors.
The video above shows hip hop’s most venerable knight being joined onstage by the Seattle Symphony and a few dozen booty-shakin’ ladies for an orchestral rendition of his signature song.
It’s almost as unforeseen as the time Mix-A-Lot caught Harry Styles peeing in his bushes…and It’s just one of those things that you never knew was missing from your life until witnessed its glory.
"What I’m gonna do now, is something you really should not do," Mix-A-Lot warned before inviting the women in the crowd to help him celebrate "orchestral movements from the hood night."
Somehow, the audience seems thoroughly shocked by when he launches into the iconic first verse. What did they think Sir Mix-a-Lot was gonna do onstage with an orchestra and a bunch of eager women? One of his other songs?
