Kanye West has reached a plea bargain in his pending assault case and will not be spending any time behind bars.

The rapper was charged with battery and theft in September, stemming from an incident over the summer in which he went after a cameraman at LAX.

But multiple outlets now confirm that West pleaded no contest today – via his attorney – in a special arrangement that actually allows him to maintains his innocence.

 

The future Mr. Kim Kardashian was thereby sentenced to two years of probation; 24 anger management sessions; and 250 hours of community service. 

Kanye must also pay for the damage to the man’s equipment and any medical bills he incurred.

The star did not, however, reach a civil settlement with the reporter, meaning he could still be forced to pony up some serious bucks down the line.

This plea will not be used against him in a civil lawsuit, if it comes to that.

In July, photographer Daniel Ramos alleged that West punched him in an unprovoked attack, taking his camera away in the ensuing scuffle.
