Toronto Mayor Rob Ford has officially declared February 6 Bob Marley Day in honor of the Jamaican singer, who would have turned 69 years old today.

Perhaps it’s no surprise that Ford is a Marley fan, as the politician was seen in a video posted this winter dancing to “One Love” during a council session.

He is also high as a kite most of the time, from what we can tell.

In his official proclamation of Bob Marley Day, Rob Ford said:

“We honor the legacy of Robert (Bob) Nesta Marley, an influential musician, advocate for human rights and international ambassador of peace.”

P.S. Pass the bong whenever you get a chance … mon.

A video of Rob Ford smoking crack surfaced last year, as did reports of city council outbursts in which is he believed to be drunk on the job. Standard.

Ford has been pressured to step down as mayor, but refuses …

“‘Cause every little thing’s … gonna be all right!”
