Lady Gaga has been betrayed. And she is none too happy about it.
In an open letter posted to her Little Monsters website yesterday, the singer apologized to fans for the delay in her "Do What U Want" music video and blamed the snafu on people who “left me on my own to damage control any problems” following a hip operation last year.
The singer talked of how she was "betrayed" by ex-employees who "gravely mismanaged" her "time and health."
“They want billions. Then they need trillions,” writes Gaga. “I was not enough for some people. They wanted more.”
The artist does not call anyone out by name, but Gaga split from manager Troy Carter in November due to creative differences.
“The next few months of ARTPOP will truly be its beginning," Gaga promises. "Because those who did not care about ARTPOP’s success are now gone, and the dreams I have been planning can now come to fruition.”
She then concludes with an apology and a vow:
"Please forgive me that I did not foresee this coming, I never thought after all the years of hard work that those I called friends and partners would ever care so little at a time I needed them the most.
"Let me be for you the Goddess that I know I truly am.”
We have a strong feeling Gaga's millions and millions of fans will allow her to do just that.
