Last night on The Voice results show, the NBC hit cut loose two more singers, and with the aid of the Instant Save, America brought one back from the brink.

Who did the voters send to the bottom three after Monday’s performances and who did viewers rescue via Twitter the final minutes of The Voice results show?

As the Top 10 took the stage at the top of the hour, host Carson Daly revealed that People named Adam Levine Sexiest Man Alive. Swoon alert.

Then he said the first four artists safe and moving on to next week were:

Team Adam’s James Wolpert and Team Christina’s Matthew Schuler, followed by Team Blake’s Ray Boudreaux and Team Adam’s Will Champlin.

The next three safe were Team Adam’s Tessanne Chin and Team Christina’s Jacquie Lee, followed by Team Blake’s Cole Vosbury. Tough night for Cee Lo.

Austin Jenckes, Kat Robichaud and Caroline Pennell were therefore in danger. Only one of them would survive. Find out who it is after the jump …

Caroline received America’s Instant Save to make the top eight.

Kat couldn’t make it two in a row in the Instant Save department, despite Cee Lo and a choreographer trying their hardest to make Kat’s set memorable.

Cee Lo is now down to just Caroline among the Season 5 field.

Though Blake has been enamored from the blind auditions with Austin, he and Caroline didn’t do it for America either, so pressure’s on next week.

Do you like the “instant” twist? Did Caroline deserve the save? And are you happy with the top eight that made it through to the next episode overall?
