Handsome, funny, honest and approachable despite being oh-so-talented, rocker Adam Levine has been named Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine.
The 34-year-old Maroon 5 frontman and The Voice coach was bestowed the sexy honor on – you guessed it – The Voice results show Tuesday night.
Also, three of his proteges made the top eight. So it was a great evening!
“As a musician, you have fantasies that you want to win Grammys, but I didn’t really think that this was on the table,” the star tells People. “I was just amazed.”
“It almost seemed like they were kidding, but they weren’t, so that’s cool.”
Levine, who reveals that he cries during movies and loves to be naked, got engaged to Behati Prinsloo this year after long being wary of tying the knot.
“I didn’t think marriage was for me for a long time,” he tells the magazine. “I was ready when I was ready. That’s about as simple as it could possibly be.”
As for that incredible body of his, Levine says he credits yoga and spinning for keeping his stamina up, especially as his success continues to skyrocket.
Through it all, he remains fairly grounded – or at least he strives to be.
“This is just a really interesting time where everything seems to be heading in a certain direction,” he adds. “And I’m not taking any of it for granted.”
The singer takes over the crown from 2012’s winner Channing Tatum.
