In the upcoming issue of Latina magazine, Cote de Pablo opens up regarding her decision to leave her hit TV show NCIS after eight seasons.

“It was not an easy decision, not one taken lightly,” she confessed.

“I feel like I am leaving my family. What I want to say most of all is thank you to the fans and to the people who have been so supportive of me and of the show.”

“You have made the show the great success that it is.”

Cote de Pablo leaving the series will leave a huge void when she’s written out after one NCIS Season 11 episode, but it was entirely the star’s decision.

CBS offered her money, then more money to stay.

Her contract was up and she declined to renew. Simple as that, and her character will make her exit from the top-rated show on TV come September.

The brunette beauty, who treasures family time and makes it a point to visit her native Chile, won’t have any trouble enjoying her newfound downtime.

“My priority is to hang out with the ones I love – my family, my loved ones,” de Pablo explained when asked about why she avoids the club circuit.

“And then I go back to the set.”

Given the fact that she has handsome boyfriend and fellow actor Diego Serrano to come home to, is a family in the cards for her next? Time will tell.
