A 16-year old Pink fan was arrested in Melbourne on Sunday night after Tweeting lyrics to a song that included one ill-advised word.
“@Pink I’m ready with my Bomb. Time to blowup #RodLaverArena Bitch,” the unnamed concert attendee wrote.
Staff at the facility identified the teen by his Twitter profile photo and alerted police, who arrested the boy and released him a short while later.
He’s actually facing criminal charges, though he explained to the media that he was simply quoting Pink”s track “Timebomb.”
“It was meant to be about drop the effects, the music, everything — just drop it all,” the fan said of the Tweet, which has since been deleted.
The incident is reminiscent of a situation in March, where a Pennsylvania school went on lockdown as the result of the Fresh Prince theme song. Better safe than sorry, we suppose.
