Farrah Abraham is in rehab for alcohol abuse.
The single mom, Teen Mom and Backdoor Teen Mom has entered an outpatient program in Florida to deal with alcohol abuse and to focus on her sobriety.
She confirmed the news late Sunday night:
“At this time in my life, I need to stay focused on the positive to get through all of the negative that a DUI has caused in my life,” Abraham told Radar.
“I’m 22 and I just want to make better choices and ensure I can recognize when I am putting myself in a bad situation next time,” she added.
She will undergo intensive counseling over the next 10 days at The Lukens Institute, a luxury center, in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., beginning Monday.
The rehab stint comes amid a scandal-plagued few months for the young star, most notably with her “sex tape” (a.k.a. Farrah Abraham porn) release.
She’s made appearances at strip clubs and adult film conventions, gotten plastic surgery, traded barbs with Charlie Sheen and been popped for DUI.
Back in March, Farrah was arrested drinking drunk in Omaha, Neb., after allegedly blowing a .147, nearly twice the legal blood alcohol limit of .08.
She’s also milked a lot of publicity and lied a lot.
Following the bust, the 22-year-old was placed on six months probation and ordered to complete an alcohol education course, which she has done.
Her four-year-old daughter, Sophia, will remain at home and under the care of Farrah’s dad, Mike, while she receives treatment over the next two weeks.
We hope she emerges better for it.
