Not everyone is psyched about the Veronica Mars movie funded by Kickstarter.
Blake Lively would just as soon not give Gossip Girl producers any ideas.
The actress’ breakout role as Serena Van Der Woodsen helped put her on the map, but she wants nothing to do with any Gossip Girl movie at any point.
According to reports, this is actually being talked about.
Producers and the beautiful blonde’s former cast members are said to be “infuriated” that the 25-year-old doesn’t want to sign on for a film based on the show.
“Blake’s being pressured on all sides to sign on to the project,” a source says, “but she thinks it’s a terrible idea and is desperate to avoid the project.”
Gossip Girl ran for six seasons from 2007 until last fall, when it mercifully went off the air after devolving into a shadow of its former snarky self.
If this report is to believed, it’s not exactly surprising that Blake would rather move on, but then again, does she owe it to the show? What do you think?
