The beloved children’s book Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day is reportedly being adapted into a live-action film!

Jennifer Garner is now in talks to star as the title character’s mother.

The 1972 children’s book centers on a kid named Alexander who embarks on one of the worst days of his life, where nothing seems to go right.

It was written in 1972 by Judith Viorst, and illustrated by Ray Cruz.

Steve Carell is also attached to star as Alexander’s dad, with Miguel Arteta directing, and Rob Lieber providing the script.

Production is expected to begin this fall.
