The seventh week of Dancing With the Stars’ 13th season saw the return of the group dance, along with some decidedly spooky performances on Halloween night.

Who sizzled? Who fizzled? Could anyone top J.R. Martinez and Ricki Lake? Was Maksim Chmerkovskiy heating up the dance floor instead of just getting heated?

Let’s find out in THG’s weekly DWTS recap …

Ricki Lake, showing off the results of her recent weight loss, turned in her best dance, paso doble that showed no evidence of the nerve injury she’s been fighting.

No 10s for her (or anyone), but she stole the show, as usual, posting the best solo score of the night (27) and helping her team earn a 3-point group dance win.

J.R. Martinez, thought of by many as her chief challenge for the Mirror Ball, didn’t quite match Ricki Monday. Len Goodman called his performance “substandard.”

DWTS also aired video of J.R. and Karina Smirnoff getting testy backstage, though they ended up working it out and hugging it out. We think he’ll survive tonight.

As for the rest of the field? Rob Kardashian isn’t going anywhere, either, turning in his best dance of the season on the same day Kim Kardashian filed for divorce.

The duo were adorable as Gomez and Morticia Addams, and their tango was better than J.R. and Karina’s. Kourtney Kardashian, Scott Disick and Mason agreed.

No Kim this week in the audience, which wasn’t too surprising.

“Rob, your best dance so far,” Carrie Ann said appreciatively.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Hope Solo performed a samba that was fairly strong, then came back even stronger with a win in the group dance to help their bid.

David Arquette started out just being a guy dressed as a magician while his assistant did the cha-cha, but he eventually relaxed, got with the beat and did alright.

On merit, this has to be Nancy Grace’s week to go.

Her performance gave off zero heat and partner Tristan MacManus seemed to be the only one dancing it. Combined with a group dance loss and she’s in trouble.

Anyway, here’s a look at Monday’s Dancing With the Stars scores (solo, group):

  • Ricki Lake & Derek Hough: 53 (27, 26)
  • Rob Kardashian & Cheryl Burke: 51 (25, 26)
  • Maks Chmerkovskiy & Hope Solo: 50 (24, 26)
  • J.R. Martinez & Karina Smirnoff: 48 (25, 23)
  • David Arquette & Kym Johnson: 47 (24, 23)
  • Nancy Grace & Tristan MacManus: 44 (21, 23)

Who do you think has danced his or her last routine? Do you agree with scores, from top to bottom? Who’s going home on this evening’s results show?

Comment below, and vote for who you think will win! Our poll, first posted yesterday, might not be as skewed toward J.R. by the end of Tuesday …
