SpongeBob is joining the green movement.
The Nickelodeon star and his undersea pals are partnering with the U.S. Department of Education on new books and videos discussing global warming.
Among other items, the materials offer advice on how to cut CO2 emissions, a leading cause of climate change, according to many science academies.
This news was met with disappointment by – who else – Fox News. Gretchen Carlson, Fox & Friends co-anchor, criticized the initiative yesterday.
Carlson lamented that the Department of Education “blames man for global warming, but they did not tell kids that is actually a disputed fact.”
We sense another Al Gore rant coming REAL fast.
Steve Doocy, another “Fox and Friends” co-host, added to Carlson’s comments, stating that “Nickelodeon is pushing a global warming agenda.”
Even if you dispute humankind’s role in climate change, why is a lovable sponge talking to kids about reducing pollution a bad thing? Just curious.
What do you think? Is global warming real?
