Law enforcement sources report that the LAPD investigation into Sam Lutfi allegedly drugging Britney Spears is well underway.
According to TMZ, the case has been assigned to Robbery Homicide, primarily because of the very sensitive nature of the allegations and the intense media scrutiny surrounding everything connected to Britney Spears.
Investigators have interviewed several witnesses regarding the drugs in Britney Spears’ system at the time she was most recently committed.
Sources close to the investigation say it was temporarily derailed because of the death of an LAPD SWAT officer, but it’s now back on track.
