Asked by photographers Thursday how she felt about Heath Ledger‘s death, Britney Spears replied, in her British accent:
“He’s still here. Oh, yes. No one ever really dies. No one.”
Seriously. Check out the TMZ video of this.
The singer chatted with photographers from the driver’s seat of her car while her assistant, Carla, was shopping at an L.A. Rite Aid.
In the understatement of the year, Britney Spears said she’s not well. But she says that’s a good thing? We’re as confused as you.
“I’m already very sick — but in a good way,” she said, asked by celebrity photo agency employees if she needed a sweater to keep warm in the rain.
The crazy Britney Spears then engaged photographers in conversation.
“What are you fellas doing tonight?” Britney Spears asked.
After one replied, “We want to make sure you’re tucked in tonight,” she responded, “That’s not a good thing to say to a girl at all!”
Later, when asked about the whereabouts of her paparazzi boyfriend, Adnan Ghalib, Spears replied, “Who’s that?” Naturally.
Finally, assistant Carla emerged from Rite Aid with a bag, and Spears popped her trunk – only to accidentally bump her elbow.
“That hurt really bad,” Britney said. “I wanna cry!”
Just don’t lock yourself in the can this time, ‘kay?
