Zac Efron recently finished filming The Paperboy, a drama based on a novel by Pete Dexter and featuring Efron as a reporter who returned to his hometown in Florida to investigate a case.

The young actor stars opposite Nicole Kidman in the movie and made it very clear in a recent interview that he enjoyed working with the Oscar winner. Especially during certain scenes.

"Nicole is so gorgeous," Efron said. "It was everything you dreamed of. She was such a lovely person. I pinch myself everyday, especially after doing love scenes with Nicole Kidman. It was the highlight of my life."

Wow. Imagine how Efron would have reacted if he fake banged Kidman before her helpings of plastic surgery!

Zac is coming off an impressive showing at the box office, where The Lucky One came in second this weekend, actually out-earning The Hunger Games.

We know Zac Efron is having sex these days. The actor accidentally proved by dropping a condom at the premiere of The Lorax last month.

But what would prompt him to go from intercourse to all-out commitment? Women's Health asked the star what makes a woman "marriage material" in its latest issue.

"A sense of ambition and a sense of freedom, which is a careful mix," The Lucky One actor said. "You have to balance those two. I haven't exactly found it yet.

Among other Q&A topics for Efron:

What are his feminine qualities? Sometimes I take a while to get ready to go out. It's not excessive, but it takes me some time to find clean clothes that match.

What is his favorite pickup line? So do you like High School Musical? I'm kidding! If the situation's right, buy someone a drink. Think on your toes, use what's around you, and come up with something organic and fun.

How does he know a date is going well? I think when it ends up going on longer than planned... and you don't even realize it. You don't want it to end.

What's the best compliment he ever received? A woman called me interesting once, and it kind of blew my mind. She said, "You're one of the most interesting people I've ever met," and I was like, Wow. I'm still high on that one.

Zac Efron lends his voice to the big screen version of Dr. Seuss' The Lorax, which hits theaters this week and for which the actor appeared this morning on The Today Show in order to promote.

During the interview, though, the actor was forced to address an incident with Matt Lauer that was decidedly NOT in the movie's script: his dropping of a condom on the red carpet of the Hollywood premiere.

"I never really had a pocket-checking policy prior to going on the red carpet before, but now we fully instated one," Efron joked, adding of the safe sex he clearly practices: "It's a great message, to add to the many messages in the film."

At this week's Hollywood premiere of The Lorax - a children's film, ironically - Zac Efron reached into his pocket to hand an item to his assistant. But something else accidentally fell out and fell to the ground, in front of countless onlookers: A condom.

Following rumors that Taylor Swift and Zac Efron were Hollywood's new young power couple, this pair taped an appearance on Ellen yesterday (it airs today), during which they acted adorably together... but also shot down chatter that they were anything more than friends.

“We are not a couple," Taylor said, adding that Zac is "awesome" and then joking about how they are barely even co-stars because they both just voiced characters for The Lorax:

"You hear people get together when they’re shooting movies, co-stars. But not like animated co-stars. You know what I’m saying. 'Oh my god, as we were recording our voiceovers on separate coasts we really connected.'”

Zac Efron and Lily Collins are so totally hitting it. Or at least sharing a few meals together here and there.

A few days after the young stars were first spotted holding hands, witnesses captured them dining on Valentine's Day - yes, Valentine's Day! - at the Soho House in West Hollywood.

X17 snapped a photo of the possible couple, with Efron donning a blue button-down and black pants; and Collins wearing an all-black ensemble paired with an ivory-colored jacket. Totally date ensembles, people!

With or without her rumored new man, expect to hear a lot from Collins over the next couple months, as she stars this summer alongside Julia Roberts in Mirror Mirror.

Ladies and gentlemen, we present... Cofron?

Onlookers spotted Zac Efron and Lily Collins dining together at Los Angeles eatery STK on Saturday, with one witness telling People they arrived together "holding hands."

On the scene for a birthday party in honor of one of Zac's friends, Efron and Collins "had a drink at the bar together and then joined the birthday crew on the patio," the insider adds, while sources say the actor then continued his evening at Lexington Social House.

Efron most famously dated Vanessa Hudgens for many years, while Collins was linked to Abduction co-star Taylor Lautner throughout most of 2011. She'll next be seen opposite Julia Roberts in Mirror Mirror.

Might we soon need to Tac a new young power couple in Hollywood on to the board?

According to the latest issue of Us Weekly, Taylor Swift and Zac Efron (aka Tac, according to certain opening sentences) dined together at an Italian restaurant in Los Angeles.

Witnesses say the superstar singer and former High School Musical star "were deep in conversation and very giggly," even arriving together in the latter's Audi.

A source shoots down dating rumors between this pair, simply saying Taylor and Zac "were in L.A. doing press stuff together, and after they were done, they decided to grab dinner."

And, yes, it is true that they are starring in The Lorax together. But what fun is that? Two professionals exchanging career-oriented talk and mere friendly banter?

It's far more enjoyable to play this out in our minds and imagine Swift penning her next heartbreaking album about Efron, isn't it?

Zac Efron really is all grown up.

The former High School Musical actor will anchor his most mature movie to date in 2012, starring alongside Nicole Kidman, Matthew McConaughey, John Cusack and others in The Paperboy, an upcoming drama based on a 1995 novel by Pete Dexter.
