Ryan Seacrest can add soon another title to his resume: host of the biggest concert in U.S. history. We're scarcely even exaggerating.
On September 23-24, the American Idol MC will be in charge of iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas. He says of the event:
“This is a once in a generation gathering of artists and fans from all over the country for a true, must-see music event. The iHeartRadio Music Festival, like the iHeartRadio digital radio service, will showcase top artists across all genres of music. Listeners from all over America will travel to Las Vegas to celebrate the next generation of iHeart Radio, while seeing the greatest musicians in the world on one stage.”
Regis Philbin Replacement Rumors Heat Up
In November, Regis Philbin is expected to exit the seat he's occupied for decades.
So, who will banter with Kelly Ripa every morning on her ABC talk show? Disney insiders claim "it's ridiculous at this point to be speculating about who will replace" the TV legend, but The Wall Street Journal reports three names have emerged as contenders:
Ryan Seacrest, Andy Cohen and Mark Consuelos.
Seacrest already holds down more jobs than anyone in Hollywood, whole Consuelos is married to Ripa (who joked with David Letterman recently that the couple would "kill each other" if they co-hosted), so we say the gig goes to Cohen, the host Bravo's "Watch What Happens: Live."

Julianne Hough Not Engaged to Ryan Seacrest ... Yet
Although they have been positively smitten with each other since they began dating, Julianne Hough is denying reports that she’s engaged to Ryan Seacrest.
It was claimed that the hardest working man in Hollywood was going down on one knee as “things are really heating up between them,” a source revealed.
“We have never seen him like this before," a Ryan source adds. "For the first time ever, he is taking a second away from work." Now that is serious, indeed.
Seacrest out ... of the dating pool for good?
"We never thought he would meet anyone he liked as much as work, but now he has. Ryan’s parents adore her. She is smart, beautiful, funny and most important, she has made their son happy. They are just waiting for him to pop the question.”
They can wait a little longer.
“Well,” Julianne Hough told Entertainment Tonight when asked about Seacrest’s imminent proposal plans, “that’s news to me, and I think it’s news to him.”
Oh well. The American Idol host and Dancing With the Stars alumn started dating this year and have managed to keep their romance low-profile. Keep it up!

Katie Holmes, Alicia Keys, Kim Kardashian and others have come out to Keep A Child Alive.
The organization provides care and support to families affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India, as readers can get donate $5 to the cause by texting the first names of any of the celebrities participating to 90999.
Keys and husband Swizz Beatz founded the charity. Says the former:
“With the launch of our BUY LIFE campaign, I am confident less people will needlessly have to die because of lack of proper care which means more children will still have parents to raise them and guide them. I’m never more inspired, then when I’m doing this!”
Reports of an American Idol Feud: Jennifer Lopez vs. Ryan Seacrest!
The new American Idol team has been together for about a half hour, and there's already a report of dissention on set.
A source tells the latest issue of In Touch Weekly that Jennifer Lopez and Ryan Seacrest are engaged in a power struggle over such pressing items as who gets which dressing room.
“Ryan was the one who first suggested Jennifer, but now he’s starting to regret it, because she’s acting like she’s a much bigger star than he is,” said the insider. “Ryan knows the diva behavior is likely to get worse before it gets better. Producers are trying to get them to make peace, but their egos are both pretty big.”

Ryan Seacrest & Julianne Hough: It's Getting Serious
Call it a match made in reality TV heaven ... or something like that. Whatever you want to call it, Julianne Hough and Ryan Seacrest seem really happy.
"Things have gotten more serious over the last month," a source says of the American Idol host and the country singer / Dancing With the Stars pro.
"They're perfect for each other."
Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough have tried to keep things quiet, but in recent weeks, they've been spotted getting cozy all over Los Angeles.

On June 13, the couple walked on the beach in Malibu arm in arm Three days later, they dined at intimate new L.A. hotspot Red O restaurant.
There, a diner says Seacrest "was very attentive." Sunday, Hough accompanied her man on another outing in Malibu, where the two shopped.
Hough, who split from country star Chuck Wicks last year, was also linked with comedian Dane Cook in March. She's definitely trading up here.

THIS is the host of American Idol macking on the former Dancing With the Stars pro turned country singer and one of the planet's most beautiful women!
Amid rumors that there's a new lady in his life, Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough were spotted strolling down the beach Sunday afternoon (see photos).
He looks to be more than friends with Julianne, who just wrapped production on Burlesque with Christina Aguilera, Cher, Kristen Bell and Cam Gigandet.
We can't say they'd be the least attractive celebrity couple out there ...
Seacrest out ... on dates with Julianne Hough!
The relationship was previously hinted at by American Idol judge Simon Cowell during an interview with Extra. In his sit-down with the program, Cowell revealed Seacrest's romantic interest and then coyly turned to the camera with a "whoops."
On the plus side, perhaps Cowell's outing of Seacrest gave him the green light to walk the Malibu beaches with Julianne Hough. Both are incredibly busy these days (there's nobody busier than Ryan), so it's nice to see them making time for romance.
Ryan and Simon Butt Heads on American Idol
There were lots of strong performances among the finalists on American Idol, but the most memorable moment of the night may have come from Ryan Seacrest.
After Simon Cowell called out Michael Lynche for "corny" dance moves, Ryan not only came to the affable singer's defense, he got in Simon's grill in the process.
The normally unflappable judge was taken aback - and scooted his seat back, throwing his hands up and admitting he was very uncomfortable. Point, Seacrest!
Chalk up another memorable exchange in one of Hollywood's ongoing rivalries / friendships. We never quite know what to make of the dynamic between them.
Ryan definitely threw Simon off here, though, which was funny and uncomfortable. Check out the clip below of the two stars almost butting heads ... literally:
American Idol Season 9 Promo Pics: Released!
It's official: Ellen DeGeneres is part of the American Idol family.
The comedian was announced as the show's fourth judge, taking over for Paula Abdul, months ago. But she now appears in a series of promotional photos for the competition and there's truly no going back.
Ellen will debut on the panel on February 9.
Prior to that, Idol will feature a number of celebrity guest judges - including Victoria Beckham, Mary J. Blige, Kristin Chenoweth, Neil Patrick Harris, Joe Jonas, Avril Lavigne and Katy Perry - as it narrows its season nine field down to the Hollywood round.
American Idol will begin its search for the next Kris Allen, Adam Lambert or Carrie Underwood is less than a week! It premieres on January 12 and THG will be there every step of the way, posing almost-daily reviews, recaps and videos of contestants.

Happy Birthday, Ryan Seacrest!
Ryan Seacrest turns 35 today.
On one hand, we wanna wish the American Idol host a very happy birthday and tell him to celebrate it in a safe, responsible manner.
On the other hand, we wanna strangle him until almost no life remains because he's responsible for hoisting Keeping Up with the Kardashians on the world. Seacrest serves as executive producer on that "reality" show.
He actually seems like a perfectly nice guy and his chemistry with Simon Cowell is a major reason we tune in to Idol every week. But, seriously Ryan, the country didn't need to get to know anyone in the Kardashian family aside from Kim's boobs.
