Mariah Carey Celebrates Obama Announcement at Gay Nightclub
It's safe to say that Mariah Carey and Bristol Palin reacted very differently to Barack Obama announcing his support of gay marriage this week.
But while the daughter of a failed Vice Presidential candidate went public with wayward insults of Obama as a father, Glee and Dora the Explorer, Mariah simply went out and partied!
Witnesses say Carey showed up at The Abbey Food and Bar in West Hollywood on Wednesday night, dancing the evening away at the gay nightclub with pal B. Scott.
"She was very nice and gracious," an onlooker at the establishment tells People, adding that the deejay recognized her after awhile and started to play some Mariah classics.
At this, the ladies simply went "crazy" on the dance floor.
Sort of like how Bristol went at Obama's announcement, only not at all.
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon Renew Wedding Vows in Paris
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon took a vacation this week to the most romantic city on the planet, and the famous couple made the most of it:
They renewed their vows in Paris!
With the Eiffel Tower in the background and with Cannon donning a white tuxedo and Mariah in a similar-colored gown, Cannon got down on one knee once again and professed his love for his lovely wife.
It's not the first time the pair has renewed its vows, either.
With Rev. Al Sharpton officiating, Carey and Cannon did so last year in the hospital where twins Moroccan and Monroe were born. Speaking of those adorable tykes:

Mariah Carey turns 42 years old today, but don't bother getting the artist any gifts. She's already received the best present of all: these adorable twins.
The singer also has a reason to smile these days because husband Nick Cannon is on the mend following a health scare centered around a case of mild kidney failure. These two really do make a cute, happy couple.
What does the professional future hold for Mariah? It's unclear, although she's one of many big names rumored for season two of The X Factor. She'd undoubtedly be a major draw. For now, though, she's pretty much a full-time mother, one who is sitting at home and waiting for your birthday wishes.

Mariah Carey: The First Post-Baby Performance!
Looking skinny and sounding as great as ever, Mariah Carey took to the stage in New York City last night for the first time since giving birth 10 months ago.
"Do you love them babies?" she asked the crowd at one point of Moroccan and Monroe. "I really wanted to bring them here tonight, but Monroe is sometimes shy and takes a while to warm up to an audience. Rock and roll! Nah, but it's late. It's time for them to be asleep."
Donning a skintight black dress and covered in diamonds, Carey broke into such tracks as "It's Like That," "Obsessed," "I'll Be There," and a new version of "Shake You Off." Watch the latter below:
Mariah Carey on Whitney Houston Death, Funeral: "May She Rest in Peace"
Mariah Carey is the latest celebrity to speak out on the death of Whitney Houston. But it isn't easy for the artist.
"I'm almost incapable of talking about this still," Mariah said today on Good Morning America. "It's very heavy emotionally."
The two legends collaborated on "When You Believe," a duet featured in the following video and a subject on which Mariah spoke at length in the interview.
"It was great and I don't think people could ever understand our relationship," she said. "There was always this supposed rivalry in the beginning and then we did the duet and we became friends."
Carey attended Whitney's funeral in New Jersey, describing the ceremony as "gorgeous" and concluded her thoughts about Houston with these simple words:
"I loved her. We all loved her. May she rest in peace... her legend's gonna go on forever."

Nick Cannon to Be Released from Hospital, Wife Tweets
Mariah Carey has good news regarding her ailing husband.
Just a couple days after saying that Nick Cannon was in "a lot of pain" due what has been described as mild kidney failure, the singer updated fans today via another Tweet.
With a laptop, balloons and gorgeous wife by his side, things could be a lot worse for Nick Cannon.
"Nick is in stable condition with a good prognosis, hopefully he'll be discharged within 2 days," Carey wrote this afternoon, adding: "As always he's laughing and in good spirits."
She also included the following caption with the new photo, posted above: "Thank you everyone for all the love & concern."
Mariah Carey on Nick Cannon: In Pain, Hopeful
As previously reported, Nick Cannon was admitted to as Aspen hospital last night due to what his wife has described as "mild kidney failure."
What is the prognosis for the America's Got Talent host? In a follow-up statement to People, Mariah Carey says she isn't certain, but adds that Cannon is in "good spirits," although "the situation is not easy" and he's in "a lot of pain."
"We are hopeful that he'll be 100 percent as soon as possible," Carey says. "We really appreciate everybody's love and support."
Cable is in stable condition and is being transferred to a facility in Los Angeles. Well enough to Tweet, the singer wrote this afternoon:
"Thank you all for all your love, prayers and concern. You know me ... I will be a'ight."

Nick Cannon Hospitalized for Kidney Ailment; Mariah Carey Asks for Prayers
Nick Cannon is currently lying in a hospital bed in Aspen, Colorado.
The singer/reality show host was admitted last night following what wife Mariah Carey described as "mild kidney failure."
"Please pray for Nick," Carey Tweeted this morning from the hospital, adding the hashtag "mybraveman" and referring to the incident as a "serious moment."
"We're trying to be as festive as possible under the circumstances but please keep Nick in your thoughts because this is very painful," Mariah wrote. "They tried to kick me out of the hospital but here I am pon de bed with Mr. C."
It's unclear how long Cannon will remain under doctor's care, nor do we know exactly from what condition he's suffering. But we wish the father of these adorable twins a speedy, full recovery.
