Mariah Carey has good news regarding her ailing husband.

Just a couple days after saying that Nick Cannon was in "a lot of pain" due what has been described as mild kidney failure, the singer updated fans today via another Tweet.

With a laptop, balloons and gorgeous wife by his side, things could be a lot worse for Nick Cannon.

"Nick is in stable condition with a good prognosis, hopefully he'll be discharged within 2 days," Carey wrote this afternoon, adding: "As always he's laughing and in good spirits."

She also included the following caption with the new photo, posted above: "Thank you everyone for all the love & concern."

As previously reported, Nick Cannon was admitted to as Aspen hospital last night due to what his wife has described as "mild kidney failure."

What is the prognosis for the America's Got Talent host? In a follow-up statement to People, Mariah Carey says she isn't certain, but adds that Cannon is in "good spirits," although "the situation is not easy" and he's in "a lot of pain."

"We are hopeful that he'll be 100 percent as soon as possible," Carey says. "We really appreciate everybody's love and support."

Cable is in stable condition and is being transferred to a facility in Los Angeles. Well enough to Tweet, the singer wrote this afternoon:

"Thank you all for all your love, prayers and concern. You know me ... I will be a'ight."

Nick Cannon is currently lying in a hospital bed in Aspen, Colorado.

The singer/reality show host was admitted last night following what wife Mariah Carey described as "mild kidney failure."

"Please pray for Nick," Carey Tweeted this morning from the hospital, adding the hashtag "mybraveman" and referring to the incident as a "serious moment."

"We're trying to be as festive as possible under the circumstances but please keep Nick in your thoughts because this is very painful," Mariah wrote. "They tried to kick me out of the hospital but here I am pon de bed with Mr. C."

It's unclear how long Cannon will remain under doctor's care, nor do we know exactly from what condition he's suffering. But we wish the father of these adorable twins a speedy, full recovery.

Oh, yeah, Nick Cannon's in there too. He's sort of cute. Sorry buddy!

Seriously, folks, Justin Bieber and Mariah Carey don't want a lot for Christmas. They don't want toys. They won't even ask for snow. There's just one thing these artists need: YOU.

The 17-year old sensation and the veteran singer have teamed up for a cover of the latter's holiday classic, "All I Want for Christmas," which is featured on Justin's new album and whose official video was released last night during the tree lighting ceremony in Rockefeller Center.

Mariah Carey's weight loss is the topic of the new cover story of Us Weekly.

The slimmed-down singer had plenty to say about the prior week's too.

She appeared to make a comment about Kim Kardashian's divorce at a press conference for Carey's introduction as the new face of Jenny (formerly Jenny Craig).

"I'm a real person, I'm not putting on a fake face for Hollywood," Carey told the crowd, then spoke about her marriage to Nick Cannon, with whom she has twins.

"Sometimes we really make each other mad, and that's why we aren't divorced after four months," she cracked, as the crowd audibly gasped after that remark.

The poster child for quickie divorces/defecating on the institution of marriage these days, of course, is Kardashian, who lasted all of 72 days with Kris Humphries.

That's not even three months, but whatever. Carey was sheepish after her joke, prompting the "Butterfly" singer to sort of take it back: "I'm sorry, just saying."

And we're just saying ... that she's kalling like it is. Sorry Kim.

Mariah Carey officially has her groove - and boy - back.

Six months after welcoming twins Moroccan and Monroe, the singer has lost 30 pounds, which she shows off in a big way on the new cover of Us Weekly.

"I just gained an enormous amount of weight," Carey says of the twin boy and girl she welcomed April 30 - her wedding anniversary with spouse Nick Cannon.

Looking at the short shorts and toned belly, that's a distant memory now ...

How did Mariah Carey pull off this weight loss plan?

In July, Carey buckled down with a nutritionist and a workout plan from Jenny (formerly Jenny Craig), keeping to 1,500 calories a day and thrice-weekly workouts.

"I feel incredible," she says, just three months after her body transformation began. "It was just the biggest blessing to be able to have the babies," Carey adds.

"But I felt trapped in my body because I couldn't move." But now, she says, "I'm proud of how hard I worked to get my body back... I had to do this for me."

We'd say she did a heck of a job. You go girl!

Mariah Carey may soon release a duet with Justin Bieber, but she made news this week for hanging with even younger, more adorable children.

The singer and husband Nick Cannon showed off six-month-old twins Moroccan and Monroe to the world!

"It's just love," Carey told Barbara Walters in an interview with her family and about her family. "It's a beautiful place to be."

The couple is unlikely to have more kids, Carey said, due to her difficult pregnancy. But she could not be happy with the new little men in her life - or with the big one, Cannon. Following a failed marriage to Tommy Mottola in 1998, it took awhile for the artist to be ready to truly fall for anyone else.

"Initially I was afraid of the concept of marriage [again]," Mariah said. "But this is a different situation and a different time in my life... No one will steal my spirit."

Enough with the teasing and the rumors. Justin Bieber has unveiled the official track list for his upcoming Christmas album, "Under the Mistletoe."

Perhaps most exciting of all - with all due respect to collaborators such as Boyz II Men and Busta Rhymes - is that Justin will team with Mariah Carey on a duet of her holiday classic, "All I Want for Christmas." It's a favorite of all Love Actually fans.
