Dr. Conrad Murray: Business (and Propofol) as Usual

Having returned to work this week, Dr. Conrad Murray has zero restrictions on his ability to access and administer Propofol, the drug that killed Michael Jackson.

That's a little disturbing, don't you think?

According to TMZ, Dr. Murray still has full privileges to practice and operate at Doctors Hospital Tidwell in Houston, and Propofol is available for Murray's use.

As for ordering the drug, which he gave to Jackson in his home the day he died, Dr. Murray can, if he chooses, get bottles of it without any special limitations.

Worst. Doctor. Ever.

Dr. Conrad Murray? Not an un-shady medical practitioner.

Murray is being investigated by the DEA and the LAPD in connection with Michael Jackson's death. The Texas Medical Board is also taking a look at the doc.

Seriously? There's no probationary period or anything? The LAPD really needs to speed up the Michael Jackson homicide investigation and charge this guy.

Calling him a murderer, as La Toya Jackson did yesterday, may be a bit of a stretch ... but you can't justify letting this guy near any more patients, right?

La Toya Jackson: Dr. Conrad Murray is a Murderer

Last week in a Good Morning America interview, Janet Jackson said that because Dr. Conrad Murray was the one administering the anesthetic Propofol to her brother Michael, he should be held responsible for the music icon's death.

Janet's sister La Toya had no intention of being so diplomatic.

In an interview with the UK's Daily Mail in July, La Toya said in no uncertain terms that Michael was murdered. Last night, she was back on the attack.

Murray returned to work yesterday after suspending his medical practice in the aftermath of Jackson's death, which is still being investigated by cops.

La Toya, 53, shredded Dr. Conrad Murray when confronted by paparazzi outside of Boa Steakhouse, warning to his patients: "Nobody should hire him."

"Dr. Murray murdered my brother and it was wrong."

Murder may be a stretch, as we doubt Murray wanted things to turn out this way ... with the beloved entertainer dead and criminal charges against him likely.

But La Toya does make a point. Patients dying from drug overdoses they never should have had administered? Usually not something a person seeks in a doc.

Conrad Murray: The Doctor is Back in!

Forget health care reform in Washington. Dr. Conrad Murray will see you now!

The personal physician who Janet Jackson and a lot of people at the LAPD believe killed Michael Jackson is officially back at work. Patients? Banging down the door.

We're kidding about that ... hopefully. But Dr. Conrad Murray has resumed his medical practice as of this morning, his lawyer confirmed to various media outlets.

Murray will be at the Armstrong Medical Clinic in Houston, Texas, which was searched by police on July 22. Michael Jackson died on Murray's watch June 25.

Dr. Conrad Murray has been laying very low for months.

He's got a bigger motivation than clearing his name to get back to work. A judge told him he must pay $1,000 a month in child support or he goes to jail.

We don't see that AEG lawsuit panning out, either.

Whether Murray goes to jail depends on the outcome of the Jackson homicide invesigation and what charges, if any, he faces when the D.A. reviews it.

That's anyone's guess, but we don't imagine he'll get off scot free.

Dr. Conrad Murray Linked to Michael Jackson Drugs

A judge has unsealed a search warrant issued against Applied Pharmacy Services in Las Vegas, where authorities believe Dr. Conrad Murray obtained Propofol.

In case you don't know by now, that's the powerful anesthesia police believe killed Michael Jackson, and Murray, his personal physician, was administering it.

The affidavit says at the scene of Michael Jackson's death at his L.A. home, Propofol was recovered "in Dr. Murray's doctor's bag and on the bedside table."

In order to make their case, police are looking to pin down Visa and FedEx information linking Dr. Conrad Murray to the sale of Propofol by Applied Pharmacy.

According to the affidavit, during the search of Dr. Murray's home and office, police recovered a sales receipt from Applied Pharmacy - dated May 12, 2009.

On that date, Dr. Conrad Murray purchased four vials of Propofol.

Police are trying to tie Dr. Conrad Murray's conduct to Michael Jackson's death.

He also bought three vials of benzos, and another drug, flumazenil, which is actually considered an antidote to a benzo, and is used to counteract benzos.

The total cost of the drugs: $853, with a $65 FedEx shipping fee.

After Jackson died June 25, Dr. Murray told police he was not the first doc to introduce Jackson to Propofol. Dr. Murray stated that Dr. Arnold Klein and Dr. Allan Metzger had given Jackson medicine that he says was not working.

And there's this: "Detectives interviewed Grace Owanda (sic), Jackson's children's nanny." That's Grace Rwaramba, who is in fact MJ's children's nanny.

"Owanda" stated that Michael Jackson was currently being treated by [Dr. Arnold Klein] and the last physician to treat Jackson was Dr. Larry Koplin."

And we wonder why the investigation is taking forever ...

Dr. Conrad Murray Suing AEG For Back Pay

Dr. Conrad Murray, Michael Jackson's personal physician, is gearing up to sue AEG, the entertainment company sponsoring his ill-fated This Is It tour this year.

AEG was paying Murray's costs as he served as MJ's doctor. Michael died June 25 of an apparent overdose of Propofol, a strong anesthesia, it is widely believed.

According to Miranda Sevcik, publicist for Dr. Murray's lawyer, Ed Chernoff, AEG still owes the good doc $300,000 - two months' pay - and is "dragging its feet."

Conrad Murray has not been paid for his services, in spite of the fact that he claims he signed a binding deal with AEG before giving up his medical practice.

Doctor Conrad Murray

Dr. Conrad Murray seeks money for "services" rendered.

He will not file a creditor's claim against Jackson's estate, but Murray "needs the money and he's entitled to money based on the contract he signed with AEG."

AEG did not comment, but we wouldn't hold our breath if we were Conrad.

After all, he was being paid to keep Jackson healthy in preparation for and on tour. That tour never ended up happening because of ... well, it's obvious, isn't it?

The guy died. Murray was responsible for his treatment. Janet Jackson blames him and he is the target of a months-long homicide investigation by the LAPD.

Somehow, we're guessing that may nullify the contract. Just a hunch.

Janet Jackson: Dr. Conrad Murray Killed Michael

In an interview with ABC's Robin Roberts, Janet Jackson is not holding back when it comes to Dr. Conrad Murray, the man she believes killed her brother Michael.

Of Michael Jackson's former personal physician, the target of an LAPD homicide investigation, Janet says: "He was administering ... I think he is responsible."

Dr. Conrad Murray has admitted to administering Propofol, a powerful anesthetic, to Michael Jackson to help him sleep, but claims he didn't kill the King of Pop.

In the interview, airing Wednesday, Janet says Murray, who may face manslaughter or even murder charges, should no longer be allowed to practice medicine.

Of Michael's death, she adds "It's been a tough year ... You have your days where it's just hard to believe. And a day doesn't go by that I don't think about him."

Janet Waves

Janet Jackson is opening up about her brother's tragic death.

She recalled the fateful day of June 25, when she learned her brother passed away. "I was at my house in New York. You know, another day. Another morning."

"Then I get a call ... [my assistant] said, 'Your brother's been taken to the hospital. It's on CNN right now. I called everyone. I spoke to mother. I spoke to my brother Tito. I spoke to my nephew Austin. I spoke to my sister La Toya."

A tearful Janet Jackson added, "I told them to call me when they got to the hospital. And I remember thinking nobody's calling me back, so I tried calling again, and that's how I found out that he was no longer ... I couldn't believe it."

"It just didn't ring true to me. It felt like a dream. It's still so difficult for me to believe. It's, you know, you have to accept what is. But it's so hard. You have to move on with your life. You have to accept what is and I understand that."

Dr. Conrad Murray on the Phone as MJ Died

Investigators probing the death of Michael Jackson say Dr. Conrad Murray was on the phone with his girlfriend, Nicole Alvarez, as the music icon was dying.

Dr. Murray, Jackson's personal physician, was on a cell phone with his girlfriend in Houston between 12:03-12:13 p.m. on June 25, 2009, when MJ passed.

The girlfriend told LAPD detectives that about five minutes into the call, she heard Dr. Murray abruptly drop the phone and then heard him administer CPR.

Nicole Alvarez said there was no indication Dr. Murray, the sole focus of the criminal investigation, knew anything was amiss before dropping the telephone.

She does not know if Murray was in the room with Jackson when he called her or if he walked in just before realizing the pop superstar was in deep trouble.

Dr. Conrad Murray's role in Michael Jackson's death is still being investigated.

A bodyguard at Michael Jackson's home called 911 at 12:21 p.m., around 13 minutes after Dr. Conrad Murray reportedly dropped the phone during the call.

It has been widely reported Dr. Murray was on the phone for 47 minutes before calling 911, possibly in an attempt to cover up what had just taken place.

Other accounts of the death timeline suggest it may have taken over an hour for the call to be made. Needless to say, it's hard to pin down what happened.

But this new timetable is more favorable for him, as it now appears those calls may have been placed before Dr. Murray realized Jackson was in distress.

Dr. Conrad Murray Blames Child Support Woes on MJ

Dr. Conrad Murray, the personal physician of Michael Jackson and the primary target of the police investigation into the singer's death, is hampered by it too.

He can't take care of his kid as a result, he says.

According to documents filed objecting to a pending arrest warrant against him for not paying his support, Dr. Conrad Murray explains the following crock:

"As a result of the media coverage of Michael Jackson's death, combined with the effects of the recession, [Murray] is simply unable to meet his obligations."

Murray's lawyer says the doctor has no intention to "evade his obligations."

But Murray "is temporarily unable to maintain a practice or obtain employment because of extensive media coverage related to the death of Michael Jackson."

Some of the facts the media is highlighting - such as Murray potentially having helped kill the greatest entertainer of all time - can't be positive PR, no.

The attorney says "one of the reasons he went to work for Michael Jackson was to pay this off" but that he never actually got paid by MJ for his time.

Again, possibly related to Dr. Conrad Murray not keeping him alive.

Murray is asking the judge to allow him to make "minimal payments." Meanwhile, he'll be looking for a job. He should try LinkedIn, like Sarah Palin.

Baby mama Nenita Malibiran (the mother of his 10-year-old son) obtained a judgment last month for $13,311.47 for missed child support payments.

She'd better pounce on those minimal payments while she can even get that much. Murray is expected to be charged in Jackson's death any time.

Lawyers Working OT For Dr. Conrad Murray

It's been a rough couple of months for Dr. Conrad Murray.

Not only is he likely responsible, at least in part, for the death of the world's most popular entertainer, but he's being sued for back child support! Rough!

Regarding his ongoing child support case, the doc says he and his new lawyer are determined to make all non Michael Jackson-related problems go away.

Problems he can make go away, that is.

Murray only has four more days to report to a Las Vegas court before a judge will issue a bench warrant for his arrest for missing a child support hearing.

Conrad was a no-show October 7.

Conrad Murray Pic

His new lawyer, Chris Aaron, says that MJ's personal dcotor is desperately trying to work out a "temporary resolution" with the District Attorney's office.

Aaron says Murray has a perfectly good explanation for going MIA, saying, "It was not intentional missing his court date - it was simply an oversight. Dr. Murray has every intention of resolving and taking care of his personal responsibilities."

Murray is accused of stiffing baby mama Nenita Malibiran out of $13,311.47 in payments for their 10-year-old son. That will get you in serious trouble.

But not as much as when you fuel Michael Jackson with Propofol, a powerful anesthesia which the L.A. County Coroner says killed the music icon.

A criminal case could be imminent.

Dr. Conrad Murray Flakes on Child Support

Looks like Dr. Conrad Murray could be in real trouble with the law, and it has nothing to do with Michael Jackson and everything to do with child support.

Nenita Malibiran claims Murray, the suspect in the Michael Jackson case, and father of her 10-year-old son, is way behind in child support payments.

Malibiran, who now lives in the Sacramento area, obtained a judgment last month in San Jose, Calif., for $13,311.47 from Jackson's personal doctor.

The judgment was sent to the District Attorney's office in Las Vegas, Nev., which honors and enforces child support judgments from out of state.

Yesterday, the D.A. went before a hearing master (not a judge), who is supposed to hear the evidence and recommend appropriate action to a judge.

Conrad Murray Pic

Dr. Conrad Murray was ordered to appear but was a no-show.

The hearing master recommended that a bench warrant be issued against Dr. Murray, who has 10 days from yesterday to come into court and deal with it.

If he doesn't, the judge will issue a warrant for his arrest - if he's not facing more serious charges in the death of Michael Jackson prior to that, of course.

Malibiran's former lawyer, Julie Brown, was quoted as saying that Dr. Murray was "habitually behind" on child support and was always "hiding income."

It has no bearing here, but Murray is also believed to have knocked up Nicole Alvarez, his current girlfriend, who welcomed a child earlier this year.
