If you were hoping to find out who is the next Bachelor at the end of The Bachelorette last night, you came away disappointed, as the torch was not passed.
In past seasons, The Bachelor or The Bachelorette season finale has also featured this big reveal on After the Final Rose. Not this time, for reasons unknown.

Chris Soules, the sweet farmer from Iowa who finished third this season, attended the taping of After the Final Rose, leaving us to believe he's the guy.
He may well be, though it was announced a new Bachelor wouldn't be revealed Monday, Soules blushed and laughed nervously when the topic came up.
Fans (and fellow Bachelorette stars) also began chanting his name at one point, so it seems safe to assume he'd be a popular choice if he got the nod.
That's not a guarantee, though.
Insiders confirm that another former Bachelorette contestant, Emily Maynard's runner-up Arie Luyendyk, Jr. from the 2012 season, is in the running, too.
"Arie is being considered and filmed for promos," a source said. "He already had his packages shot and they even got him a trainer so he could buff up."
Farmer Chris Soules remains the front-runner though, another sleuth suggests, noting that no decision has been made and declining to elaborate.
"Chris is still on the short list to be The Bachelor," the insider says. "They wont be announcing the person for several weeks … but Chris is still in the running."
Who do you think should get the nod of the two front-running candidates? Or should they show pull a total 180 and cast someone new out of the blue?
