New rumors about why Solange Knowles attacked Jay Z seem to be surfacing every hour, but a new report from London’s Daily Mail offers an explanation that would make an awful lot of sense.
A source tells the tabloid that Solange is tired of being overshadowed by Beyonce and has been frustrated for years by Jay’s refusal to help her with her singing career.
Says the insider: “Solange is so angry because Jay Z promised to giver her more help with her career, and when she brought it up again the night of the Gala, he told her he just didn’t have the time to work with her in the studio.”
Smart move on Hov’s part. He probably figured a classy event like the MET Gala was the perfect place to break the news, since Solange wouldn’t want to embarrass herself by making a scene.
How wrong he was.
“Solange wants a major career like her sister and she’s tired of living in her shadow. She’s jealous,” the source adds. “Jay Z promised he would help take her to the next level but he never found the time to keep his word.”
We’re guessing Solange didn’t help her odds of getting Jay into the studio by trying to give him a Manolo Blahnik to the crotch.
