Forget her 2014 Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Lupita Nyong'o has now earned a real honor: Most Beautiful Woman in the World, according to People, which features her on its cover this week:
The actress has enjoyed one of the most impressive runs in recent memory for a celebrity, sky-rocketing from relative obscurity to win an Oscar for 12 Years a Slave; be named the new face of Lancome; and also grace the cover of Marie Claire.
And she's handled it all with incredible grace, moving folks to tears with her acceptance speeches.
"It was exciting and just a major, major compliment," the 31-year-old says of cover this annual issue. "I was happy for all the girls who would see me on [it] and feel a little more seen."
Nyong'o now joins other Most Beautiful Woman in the World honorees such as Jennifer Lopez, Halle Berry, Beyonce and Gwyneth Paltrow.
