Joanna Krupa may come across like a model confident in her looks.
But she admits in a new interview that it wasn't always this way.
The Real Housewives of Miami star tells People that she suffered through an eating disorder during her younger days when she was trying to make it in the fashion world and was displeased with her figure.
"I gained weight and struggled to lose it quickly in order to pursue my dreams of being a model," Krupa says. "Being 20 years old, I had no idea how to lose weight fast and laxatives were an easy way out."
And also a dangerous way out, of course.
Eventually, Krupa developed far healthier habit and is simply grateful she did so in time.
"Thank God I didn't hurt myself and stopped," she says.
Krupa is married to Romain Zago and actually is now hoping to get fat… in the form of pregnancy, that is.
"I would love to have twins – a girl and a boy, but who knows if that would happen," the beauty says. "It would be my ideal situation. Wham, bam be done with it."
