Teen Mom Season 4 Will Be Final Season For Original Cast

It looks like Farrah Abraham, Amber Portwood, Catelynn Lowell and Maci Bookout will be calling it a career after the upcoming fourth season of Teen Mom.

MTV confirmed this in a statement Friday. If there's any confusion this means the fourth and final season for just the cast members mentioned above.

Teen Mom 2, featuring Jenelle Evans, Leah Messer, Chelsea Houska and Kailyn Lowry just aired its second season and may still receive a third on MTV.

Meanwhile, there will be a Teen Mom 3, with the cast selected from members of the all-new 16 & Pregnant cast ... everybody clear on all this now?

"Season 4 will be the final season of Teen Mom with Maci, Catelynn, Amber and Farrah," MTV tells Us. "They will continue to be a part of our MTV family."

"We're thankful to these brave young women for sharing their stories and helping to make a positive impact on teen pregnancy prevention."

There's no specific date set for Season Four's premiere.

Sad to see the original stars retire? Amber Portwood's police run-ins should keep her in the news, but will we ever hear from Maci, Farrah and Cate again?

    Catelynn you are awesome!! And guys, she's on the show because she will always be a mom and to show the other side of teen moms choices and how they affect everyone. I hope you and Tyler stay strong and do what it is you two set out to do. Here's to happy marriage and as many more healthy kids as you want, when the time is right for you! I love the first girls and babies and(some) dads the best!! You definitely will be missed, please keep us posted! Farrah, stay strong, I KNOW it has to have been super tough, I hope all works out for you and Sofia, Derek is watching over you both. Macey, you are so darn cute and Bentley too!! Stay strong girl!!     Really going miss these girls. Caitlyn especailly as her story really touched me.how her and Tyler sone what they did for their daughter. good luck in the future caitlyn and Tyler hope you enjoy your wedding and have kids in the future when time is right.
