Paula Deen Chows on Burger on Vacation

The Food Network star, who recently revealed she has type 2 diabetes, was photographed eating a burger and fries Monday on a Caribbean cruise ship with her fans.
Deen, 65, is taking heat from critics, such as Anthony Bourdain, who say she has profited from her indulgent cooking and recipes while keeping her condition secret.
This story is not likely to douse that fire.
While diabetes isn't a sentence to life without burgers, eating a healthy diet is one way to manage it ... which makes Deen's admission all the more baffling to some.
As Deen made her announcement, she also partnered with drug maker Novo Nordisk to launch a new site, Diabetes in a New Light, offering diabetes-friendly recipes.
Then she turns around and inhales a juicy burger. Nice.
Deen says she's cut back on sugary/fatty foods, and that "I want to try to get across moderation," she says. If that's true, shouldn't she ... eh, forget it.

I agree with Marelle... I don't even like her, but I think she's got a right to eat a burger if she wants to.
I agree that the whole situation is a little weird, but everyone that is so steamed at her just needs to get a life. She has freakin' diabetes. Just leave her alone. Don't get me wrong, I personally can't stand her and her "lay it on thick" southern accent, but it's none of our business to be worried about her health condition.
First and foremost; @ Reed You made me feel very good about my big ass. Thank you. Although, I can clear a doorway pretty easily... not really any trouble for me there.. Secondly, What the fuck? No one has any idea the circumstances of that situation. She could be eating healthy EVERY OTHER DAY OF THE WEEK and then one day, one time, she decides to indulge herself. She's fucking human! She's not the first person to have diabetes - why is it her job to set a shining example? Do you think if she started eating like a rabbit everyday that every other person with diabetes is just going to magically follow in suite? People need to fuck off and let this woman live her life. Diabetes runs in my family, and you'll NEVER catch me pass off a brownie or a Chinese buffet, let alone a big ass, juicy burger and some french fries. I'll eat what the fuck I want til the day I die. SO FUCK OFF YOU SKINNY FUCKS.

Leave Paula Dean alone she has Diabetes shes not dead. My mom has Diabetes and I help her manage it. I am a southerner and I cook like a southerner a couple nights a week but the rest of the time its salads and lean meats. She has made a brand for herself based on high fat high calorie delicious southern food she never said you must cook like this 24/7 if you do your fucking retarded!!!
