Chaz Bono on Dancing with the Stars Appearance: Good For America
by Hilton Hater at .In the face of growing criticism - Dr. Keith Ablow says parents should keep their kids away from Dancing with the Stars, while OneMillionMoms dot com says "Christians should not watch" - Chaz Bono is not phased.
Instead, the controversial cast member sounds inspired.
The backlash has "made me realize I'm really glad I'm doing this, because America really needs to see this," Bono told ABC News. "It just kind of shows why for me it's important to be on the show because so little still is known about what it means to be transgender. And there's so many just completely inaccurate stereotypes and thoughts that people have."
Howard Bragman has been advising Bono and told Good Morning America:"Watching Chaz Bono dance is not going to make your kid transgender. But what it can do is possibly save your kids life because young transgender kids, kids with gender identity issues, have a huge suicide rate and if they see one positive influence, one positive role model, this can save lives and that's why Chaz is here."

I for one think its great the Chaz is going to compete.....he will be great and a big step for all transgender....he has courage and shows it not to hide its ok to be different...we all are....Love ya Chaz....
Transgender surgery takes a lot of money and a lifelong regimen of hormone medications. It has become a profit center, especially now that growing numbers of insurance companies are covering it in California. Chaz has my total compassion and prayers because her emotional vulnerability and low self-worth over the years have been exploited by the medical industry, the phychiatric industry, and now ABC/Disney
Ok so wow.......this is seriously upsetting people, and from my perspective the only thing upsetting is that we still live in a society where sexual orientation and beliefs are stereotyped and discouraged. We are all different, we come in all shapes and sizes......and how boring this world would be if we were all the same inside and out!!!! And seriously, if you have issues with homosexuality in ballroom dancing..........uh.........not even sure where to start! Let people be who they are!!!!!! Just worry about you being you, and stop spreading hate!!!!!!!! Kim......it is wonderful to think there are people in this world who believe you Can not change from what you are born.......just curious is your narrowmindedness limited to sexual orientation, or are we also required to follow archaic rules of class system where we stay in the tax bracket we are born too, and limit our education levels and profession by what our parents are?
