Selena Gomez to Star in Sex and the City Prequel?

Selena Gomez stars alongside Leighton Meester and Katie Cassidy in Monte Carlo, a light summer movie that opens this weekend and whose trailer you can watch HERE.

But a truly major film role might be coming this star's way.

Future Sex and the City Star?

In a recent interview, Candace Bushnell was asked about the status of The Carrie Diaries, her prequel to Sex and the City that might get made into a movie someday. Does she have any casting ideas?

"I’m going to get into trouble for this, but I was looking at some pictures of Selena Gomez today and thinking she’d make a really good young Charlotte," the author aid. "She’s so pretty. I was like... gosh, wouldn’t she be great?”

There certainly is a resemblance. What would you think of Selena portraying the character Kristin Davis made famous?

    GOOD ON HER! Nice one to Selena. Everyone's being such a dicks to her, it's uncalled for. They all need to grow up and get a life.
