Olivia Wilde: Worried About Kardashian Coverage, Future of America
Olivia Wilde has a radical idea.
It would put The Hollywood Gossip out of business, but we're still behind the actress 100%.
“I’d like to refocus everyone’s attention away from the Kardashians and onto Doctors Without Borders or aid workers," the star says in the August issue of Marie Claire. "Let’s redefine scandal. Scandal is not who so-and-so is dating; scandal is the fact that 1.2 million people are still living in tents in Haiti, and cholera is rampant because Nepalese U.N. soldiers dumped s-it from their Porta-Potties into the river. That’s a f-cking scandal. If the average 15-year-old was hearing about that instead of so-and-so’s plastic surgery or cheating in Hollywood, I’d feel better about our future.”

So refreshing to see a celebrity with substance who cares about important things in the world, not just being the center of attention. If more people were like that, the world would be a better place because we would work on important issues instead of focusing on how big a celebritys derriere is.

I think people here are missing Olivia's point. Comments here are still focusing on the Kardashians. I don't think it's the Kardashians as much as the people who incessantly cover them. It's the media and readership paying for the dumb stories that's the real problem.

Bravo Olivia! I'm sick to death of those airhead Kardshians. Instead of spending millions on a diamond (which is likely a blood diamond), think of the medicines, food, and water that money could have bought. Sad.....
