I think you are all alittle tough. I do not agree with this, but doI doubt he will be happy? No!

agree, this little guy has no choice now and I wouldn't doubt he'll be upset about this later in life. I don't think its right, I think u should be a mother and father couple before u r able to adopt for the sake and mental well-being of the child!

Congrats on you new son

Why didn't they adopt an older child? Elton is 63!

I have to agree w/RJB. However, in this case, it's EIton. Just how close to a real mom can one get? Besides, they sell 'formula' in England too. I'm not saying the kid won't have issues later in life. You can bet on that. I guess the real question for now is: Who's your daddy?

From a sociological standpoint the jury is still out on how being raised by a gay couple effects children in the long run simply because there just aren't very many adults presently that have been raised by a gay couple. Personally, I think this child will have a good life, however, I do think that a mother is more important to a child than a father is and children who are adopted by gay couples don't have a choice. That is where the problem lies. As this kid gets older it will be quite easy for him to become bitter in that he wasn't given the option to have a mother or not. Nor did he receive the motherly love that is so crucial to raising a good kid.
