Michael Douglas Diagnosed with Cancer

Michael Douglas has been diagnosed with throat cancer.

The two-time Oscar nominee, 65, will under go eight weeks of radiation and chemotherapy and says in a statement he's "optimistic" about a full recovery.

Douglass is married to Catherine-Zeta Jones and will next be seen as his famous character of Gordon Gekko in Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.

    you are my favorite actor...and i wish you all the luck in the world..you can beat this...look at your father, i never thought he'd speak again..yet he did..no matter what there is always something people have to overcome, no matter who they are, but you are strong, and i know you will survive for a long long time...i'm jewish but do not belong to a temple, but will pray for you at home....love, michele

    Best of luck to you and your family. My husband was diagnosed with the same thing, stage 4, and it devastated us when we heard the news. But he finished treatment 1 month ago and will have a pet scan next week to see how the cancer reacted to treatment. We are very positive about the outcome. Stay strong and keep a positive attitude. My husband never quit eating the whole time, it was just soft foods and ensure but he never gave up swallowing. He had a feeding tube and only used it once. It will get tough but know that it will soon be over and you will be back to your old routine. He never missed a days work either. It would have treatment in late aft

    I beat throat cancer 20+ years ago with just radiation. I'm sure that Machael Douglas will beat this. I hope he is encouraged by others that beat throat cancer. "Falling Down" is my favorate MD movie. Me and you, we're the same !!!
